The TAR PIT Bar to Hit Miracle Mile; Opens This Friday

You probably know and love Masterminds behind the famed Campanile restaurant, Mark Peel & Jay Perrin, whom I had the pleasure of working with on my last ERA, 1920s event. Now they've delved into the bar business as well, and in an ever need locale which I reside and love, miracle mile/N La Brea :) THE TAR PIT is slated to Open this coming Friday, December 18th, located at 609 N. La Brea (www.tarpitbar.com)

The Tar Pit occupies the former "Oasis" Space but has indeed received a full interior and exterior make-over. Its new design motif is a bit 1940s art deco, definitely will a laid back, classy, and upscale feel. Tar Pit highlights the art of the cocktail, with A-list mixologists (the Edison, Milk & Honey-NY) and offers creative cocktails such as "The Old Cuban", "The Flame of Love", and "Fiddy-Fiddy". There will of course be delcious small plates, and future plans include ambient live enterainment such as a pianist. We'll see ya there opening weekend I am sure....

Tis the season to open a sweet new bar/lounge....always :)

Sade To Release First Single, 'Soldier Of Love' Off Forthcoming New Album


NEW YORK, Dec. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Epic Records is pleased to announce the release of "Soldier Of Love," the highly anticipated first single off Sade's forthcoming new body of work by the same name.

And for the design inspiration, I literally stumbled upon this magnificent store today in the southern tip of downtown...I am design / vintage/ antique aficionado, and not easily impressed, and I was honestly stunned & moved at the treasures at this place...not cheap, but one of a kind and amazing that some of these pieces are still around and in such stellar shape...i can't wait to have/design my restaurant/lounge + restore my future 1920s Spanish Villa...yupyup!
